Veronica Connelly is a partner and President of Aglu Consulting and Training Inc. Veronica is a 51-year old NLCA beneficiary and life-long resident of Rankin Inlet, who has been employed as a Lands Administrator with the Kivalliq Inuit Association Lands Division for the past 14 years. During her tenure with the Kivalliq Inuit Association, Veronica has gained extensive experience in Nunavut Lands Claims implementation, lands management, policy development and implementation, licensing and regulatory reviews involving the mining and minerals exploration sectors. She has also pursued training in information technology systems management, database management, lands management and more.
Veronica also has over 10 years in media management and reporting experience, having worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Kivalliq Regional Office prior to her current employment with the Kivalliq Inuit Association.
Veronica is an important consultant and also has a great knowledge of Inuktitut for translation projects.
Louis Dornez is a partner and Vice-President of Aglu Consulting and Training Inc. Louis is 51 years old and a long-time consultant in the North. Louis has over 24 years of experience as a professor in a Community College and University teaching business courses, accounting, multi-media, marketing, tourism and computer applications. He also has extensive training and consulting experience in a variety of fields, including but not necessarily limited to: website design & development, entrepreneurship, marketing, multimedia applications, accounting, bookkeeping, board governance, policy development, financial management and small business management.
Louis has a Business Administration Degree and an Education Degree from the University of Manitoba. Louis has also completed a WebMaster Diploma from Cite Collegiale, a Community College based in Ottawa.
Louis was the previous owner and President of SID Productions and Training, founded in 1994 as well as the previous owner and President of Igalaaq Consulting, founded in 2008. Over the past 17 years, Louis has provided training and consulting services for a variety of Nunavut-based organizations including: the Nunavut Inuit Wildlife Secretariat, all of Nunavut’s Hunters and Trappers Organizations, the Hamlet of Whale Cove, the Hamlet of Coral Harbour, the Hamlet of Baker Lake, the Hamlet of Repulse Bay, the Hamlet of Rankin Inlet, the Nunavut Department of Economic Development & Transportation, and many more.
